Website focus: Political science examination of information materials. The specific objects, questions, materials and form of the deliverable are agreed before work begins.
Purpose of the document
A specialist opinion contains the results of an agreed examination and answers to the questions posed. It may be prepared at a customer's request to assess circumstances, prepare a claim, support negotiations or submit materials to court. The subject and scope of the examination are determined by the brief and the provider's competence.
What the opinion records
- The basis for the enquiry, agreed questions and information about the provider.
- A description of the objects, materials supplied and limitations of the source data.
- The examination process, methods used and sources.
- Reasoning and findings for each question; appendices, if provided for in the brief.
Materials to prepare
Provide a task description, documents and information about the object, dates of events, existing reports and specific questions. Originals, inspection and additional materials are agreed separately.
Using the deliverable
The document is assessed together with the other materials. The provider does not guarantee a predetermined finding, outcome of a dispute or acceptance of the report by a court. A private enquiry does not itself replace the appointment of a forensic examination.
